The elusive servers at XBOX live.com from Microsoft have been rendered almost useless by a group of hackers who actually broke into their datacenter covering a range of almost 35 countries and managed to steel personal information from xbox live users. as reported by CBS

You ' re gonna to have to wait a while as the service has been off for some time now!. Althoguh Microsoft has not publicly denounced the hacking though some sources say they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix as we speak. "We�re still hard at work fixing the issue members are having when trying to sign in to Xbox LIVE. Thank you for your patience during this time. Keep checking back here every 30 minutes for an update on our progress."

Hackers were celebrating as to the success of their ' mission ' , being that microsoft is always proclaiming as to how safe and secure their servers are, this has put a lid of pressure on them to come up with an update and at the same time patch their vulnerable software.

Though not necessarily happy a lot of people are glad this happened to Ballmer and his team of Piranhas who force updates when not needed and even though XBOX live is a premiuj paid for service you cannot opt out of certain advertising and or so called other useless 'services'..
